Configuring Site Settings

Set up your site's basic information, icon, and preferences

Configuring Site Settings

Site settings control the fundamental aspects of your website. Access them through the Settings panel in the editor.

General Settings

Project Name

The internal name for your project. This is only visible to you in your dashboard.

Site Title

The title that appears in browser tabs and search results. Make it descriptive and memorable.

Site Description

A brief description of your site. This appears in search engine results and when sharing your site on social media.

Subdomain

Your site's address on Framekit (e.g., yoursite.framekit.co). Choose something memorable and relevant to your brand.

Site Icon (Favicon)

Upload a site icon that appears in:

  • Browser tabs
  • Bookmarks
  • Mobile home screens when your site is saved
Recommended: Use a square image (512x512 pixels) in PNG format for best results.

Language Settings

Changing Your Site Language

  • Go to Settings > General
  • Find the Language dropdown
  • Select your preferred language
  • Save changes
  • The language setting affects:

    • Default text direction (LTR/RTL)
    • Date and time formats
    • Any auto-generated content
    • Browser language hints for visitors
    Available languages include English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, and many more.

    Currency Settings

    Setting Your Currency

  • Go to Settings > General
  • Find the Currency dropdown
  • Select from 100+ world currencies
  • Save changes
  • The currency setting is used for:

    • Product pricing displays
    • Any pricing components you create
    • E-commerce features
    Popular options: USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, JPY, and more.

    Branding Options

    Hiding the "Built with Framekit" Badge

    On the free plan, a small Framekit badge appears on your published site. To remove it:

  • Upgrade to a paid plan
  • Go to Settings > General
  • Find "Show Framekit Branding"
  • Toggle it OFF
  • Save and publish your changes
  • The badge will no longer appear on your live site, giving you a cleaner, fully branded experience.

    Note: The branding toggle only works with an active paid subscription.

    Unpublishing Your Site

    If you need to take your site offline temporarily:

  • Go to Settings > General
  • Scroll to the bottom
  • Click "Unpublish Site"
  • Confirm your choice
  • What Happens When You Unpublish:

    • Your site becomes inaccessible to visitors
    • Your subdomain shows an offline message
    • Custom domains stop working
    • All content and settings are preserved
    • You can republish anytime

    When to Unpublish:

    • Major redesigns in progress
    • Seasonal businesses during off-season
    • Transitioning to a new domain
    • Taking a temporary break
