Receiving Form Submission Notifications

Good news! Framekit automatically sends you an email notification whenever someone submits a form on your site.

How It Works

When someone fills out any form on your published site:

  • Submission is saved to your dashboard
  • Email is sent automatically to all site admins
  • You receive a notification in your inbox
  • No setup required – it's automatic!

    What the Email Looks Like

When you receive a form submission notification, you'll get:

    Email Subject

"New [Form Name] Submission - [Your Site Name]"

    Email Contents

    • Site name at the top
    • Form name that was submitted
    • Submission date and time
    • Submission ID for reference
    • All form fields displayed in a clean table:
    • Field names (like Name, Email, Message)
    • The values the visitor entered
    • "View All Submissions" button - links directly to your dashboard

The email is beautifully designed and easy to read on both desktop and mobile.

    Who Receives Notifications?

Email notifications are sent to all admin users of the site.

    • If you're the only admin, only you receive emails
    • If you have team members added as admins, they receive emails too
    • Notifications go to the email address associated with each admin's Framekit account

    Where Notifications Are Sent

Notifications are sent to the email address you use to log into Framekit.

To change where you receive notifications:
  • Click your profile icon in the top-right
  • Go to Profile
  • Click Change next to your email
  • Enter your new email and verify it
  • See the "Changing Your Account Email" article for detailed steps.

    Viewing Submissions in Dashboard

In addition to email notifications, all submissions are stored in your dashboard:

  • Go to Settings (gear icon)
  • Click Forms in the sidebar
  • View all submissions with:
    • Form name
    • Submission date/time
    • All field values
    • Reply button

    Replying to Submissions

From both the email and dashboard, you can reply directly:

    From Email

    • Simply reply to the notification email if the submitter included their email

    From Dashboard

  • Go to Settings > Forms
  • Find the submission
  • Click the "Reply" button
  • Your email app opens with:
    • Submitter's email pre-filled
    • Subject line ready
    • Submission details in the body

    Troubleshooting

    Not Receiving Notifications?

    Check your spam/junk folder

Automated emails sometimes get filtered. Mark Framekit emails as "not spam" to prevent this.

    Verify your email address

Make sure your Framekit account email is correct and you have access to it.

    Check if site is published

Forms only work on your live, published site. Form submissions in the editor preview won't send notifications.

Make sure you're a site admin

Only admin users receive notifications. If you were added as a viewer, you won't get emails.

    Email Going to Wrong Address?

    Update your account email:

  • Go to Profile settings
  • Change your email address
  • Verify the new email
  • Want Notifications to Go to Multiple Addresses?

Add team members as site admins:

  • Each admin receives their own notification
  • Great for teams handling inquiries
  • Notifications Delayed?

Email delivery is usually instant, but can occasionally take a few minutes. If you don't receive within 15 minutes:

  • Check spam folder
  • Verify the form submitted successfully (check dashboard)
  • Try submitting a test form
  • Best Practices

    Respond Quickly

    • Aim to respond within 24 hours
    • Set expectations on your form ("We'll respond within 1 business day")

    Keep Records

    • Submissions are stored in your dashboard
    • Export to CSV for backups
    • Use for customer relationship management

    Test Your Forms

After publishing, submit a test form to:

    • Verify you receive the notification
    • Check that all fields come through
    • See what the email looks like
